Here are the SR-25 magazines I received from Mag Commander earlier this week.

3 10 rounders, one is plugged at 5 rounds and a 20 rounder. Might need that 5 rounder for hunting in certain states.

A while back, I bought some 25-round PMAGs for my AR10-based rifles. Highly recommend them. For me, they are a lot easier to “beer can” than any 20-rounders. And they are easier to get hold of in my chest rack or from HSGI Taco pouches. Just an all-around win!

    I thought PMAG’s only came in 10,20,30. I didn’t know about 25 rounders.

As this thread is related to SR-25/AR10 rifles, which are all 7.62 NATO/.308 Win-based, I was referring to PMAGs in that caliber. They were only available in 20-round configuration until last year when the 25-rounders were added. I’ve been rocking the 20-rounders since I started using a .308 AR10-based custom rifle for pest control at work. But they were always a little too short for me to consistently use a “beer can magazine grip” reloading technique. These slightly longer 25-rounders make that technique more consistent and reliable.

I thought the same thing. PMags are the best!

    PMAGs now come in 10-, 20-, 30- and 40-rounders for .223/5.56 in Gen3 version.

.308 PMAGs have only been out for a few years. There was the Gen2 20-round version for about 2 years, then a 20-round Gen3, and last year they came out with a 25-round Gen3 version.

And yeah, I love ’em all. 🙂
