Has anyone ever built an AR15 from a stripped lower? Might be a good idea.

That is cool, it said that its capable of putting off a few .22 rimfire rounds before coming apart.

I know there are polymer receivers right now that are very durable but I’m not sure what the printed ones are made of?

Might be able to print a mold πŸ™‚ then just get you aluminum and make a lower. Sounds easy.. Lol!

Remember the ww2 liberator .45 single shot pistol was know to fail after just 50 rounds.

I didn’t know they made these. I’m sure it’s against all true AR lovers to even make this!

    And in 9mm

Yeah they make pretty much everything with an AR platform even .45acp and .50 bmg bolt action uppers. I happen to be an AR fan and I think the versatile platform is what makes it attractive. I love my Camaro (Chevy fan overall though) when it comes to cars and I love AR when it comes to guns. But don’t get me wrong I’m open to owning an AK one day too.:D

I just bought a Power Parts Kit from Gearhog (see below) and am watching for a good deal on an 80% lower. Likely going to go with a polymer lower since I have been told it is exponentially easier to machine the polymer lower vice the metal lower. Will need to but a buffer tube, spring and buffer also. No rush though.

Easier with drill press and JIG.

Measurements below and instructions here n how to complete without drill press.
