A lot of people simply toss out the bones from chicken when they are done eating it. What a waste 🙁
For the most part we try to make some sort of stock out of the bones if we can. Obviously there are times when we can’t. There are a lot of recipes out there, but here is ones that works for us:
Whole Chicken in a Crock Pot
For the broth ones we then can at 10 pounds for 75 minutes. We try to make 3 – 6 quarts at a time. You can even freeze your bones until you have enough to can.
Here is the one we use for cream of chicken/rabbit
