America was found by Christians. People hate to hear that.
Sounds bad, but it’s being downplayed as nothing to be concerned about but who knows?
Sunni Extremists in Iraq Occupy Hussein’s Chemical Weapons Facility
Washington—Sunni extremists in Iraq have occupied what was once Saddam Hussein’s premier chemical-weapons production facility, a complex that still contains a stockpile of old weapons, State Department and other U.S. government officials said.
U.S. officials don’t believe the Sunni militants will be able to create a functional chemical weapon from the material. The weapons stockpiled at the Al Muthanna complex are old, contaminated and hard to move, officials said.
One thing that stood out to me from the article was this:
the State Department spokeswoman, said in a written statement. “We do not believe that the complex contains CW materials of military value and it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to safely move the materials.”
Safely move? From what I’ve seen these guys have little to no concern regarding safety.
Great summary (10 min) of what is really happening in Iraq right now.
This is another good resource for open source intel and it is updated daily.
While our country has problems, i’m still thankful for our stability.
Sort of dated news from March but first I heard about it so this may surprise you:
Los Angeles gangbangers surface in Syria to join Assad forces in fighting
Two members of notorious Los Angeles street gangs have apparently made a global trek — from the crowded streets of LA to the barren battlefields of Syria — to fight alongside forces loyal to President Bashar Assad.
The men — who identify themselves on a 2-minute video clip as “Wino” from the Westside Armenian Power gang and “Creeper” of the Surenos, a group with apparent ties to the Mexican Mafia — are seen in a war-torn, desolate area as they spot the “enemigos” a short distance away before firing in their direction.
yeah, I would not have wanted to be the judge, jury (If any), prosecutor, or defense attorney in that case unless I wore a bag over my head the entire time.
Maybe he should have read this post!
Baghdad surrounded: ‘Nightmare scenario’ unfolds as ISIL takes supply routes
Baghdad is surrounded by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, and at least two key supply routes are under the Sunni radical organization’s control.
Shafin Dizayee, a spokesman for autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government in Irbil, told McClatchy news service that “the picture is no longer scary. It has become close to a nightmare scenario, where we see [ISIL] expanding and taking control of its borders.”
Another Kurdish official, Jabbar Yawar of the Peshmerga militia, told the news service that the towns of Iskandariya and Mahmoudiyah, just 6 miles south of Baghdad, had fallen.
The city of Samarra, north of Baghdad, also not is faring well. An official who spoke only on the condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak publicly, told McClatchy that Iraqi security forces were having a difficult time defending the city.

Daniel chapter 7, the bear represents the medo persian empire where Iraq and Iran are today. Good read. Wonder if it applies now or not.
So let me understand. Since the 1990’s the United States has been at ‘war’ in Iraq and we never were able to secure the region. Within a month or so ISIS was able to walk through Iraq and do something the United States was unable to do, force it’s self upon the people or Iraq. Or have I completely missed what’s going on in the region.
(Reuters) – Israel launched a Gaza ground campaign after 10 days of bombardments from the air and sea failed to stop militants’ rocket attacks, stepping up an offensive that already has taken a heavy toll in civilian lives.
Israel signalled the invasion would be limited in scope – targeting tunnels dug by gunmen – and said it was not intended to topple Hamas, the Gaza Strip’s dominant Islamist group.
I’ve noticed the war correspondence that are in Gaza sucks compared to the actual live feeds available online. I think the reporters due to safety reasons are not very far into Gaza and perhaps just a few hundred yards from the Israeli border. Anyways here’s a few different live feeds I’ve found:
Tonight this is seemingly the best one:
Gaza Twin Camz on USTREAM: . World News
Some random pro Hamas resident reporting & streaming from Gaza:
gazaunderattack on USTREAM: Streaming live from the Gaza Strip. World News

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration condemned the deadly shelling of a United Nations school in Gaza Wednesday, using tough, yet carefully worded language that reflects growing White House irritation with Israel and the mounting civilian casualties stemming from its ground and air war against Hamas.
The U.S. frustrations were compounded by a flurry of Israeli media reports this week that appeared aimed at discrediting President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, who spent days trying to negotiate an unsuccessful cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. In unusually blunt language, a State Department spokeswoman on Wednesday repeatedly described one of the reports as “complete crap.”
The developments injected fresh tension into the often fraught relationship between Obama and the Israeli government, while also highlighting the president’s willingness to take a tougher line against the longtime U.S. ally than some of his predecessors or lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

“If neglected, I am certain that after a month they will reach Europe and, after another month, America,” he said at a reception for foreign ambassadors Friday.
I actually think this is perfect timing. After all, what better time to invade the United States as 60+ million American hunters zero in their rifles.
