I can’t tell from the picture but is the one on the right a Zastava AK 47?

Can you tell us about the one on the left?

The handgun is clearly the best purchase there.

Yes, The SIG SAUER Spartan edition is handgun badassery.

Hope you fellas are doing well.

    First time in PA- Lancaster/Manheim.

Working here for a couple weeks.

Gotta say this is my favorite yankee state so far having been to MA and NJ.

If anyone is up this way, lets have a beer.

You can’t compare PA to MA or NJ. MA and NJ are horrible states to live in. Sorry to those of you that live there. Your elected officials overtax and over regulate you.

Do you carry you gun when you travel for work?

    Of course i can compare.
I agree with your premise that there really is no comparison but i reserve the right to compare.

I flew up here so I feel naked without my gun. About the worst I could do is cut you a new asshole or beat you to death. Perhaps both.

Those are defensive actions spurred by someones misplaced aggression.

When i travel by car, i carry.

If you are checking a bag it is easy to bring a gun with you. I cannot even remember the exact number of times I have traveled with a firearm. somewhere between 5 and 10.

my somewhat modifies mauser, bent bolt with gigantic ass knob(I will never short stroke a round) , about 3″ of barrel cut off and end ball stoned for more accuracy(my version of target crowning), heavily modified stock(adjustable length, front end totally different-it has a piece of keystock in it for rigidity-fiberglassed action-pillared action, free floated barrel), sweet adjustable 2-5# trigger with safety(to get rid of old style flip over safety), bipod, scope mount-no scope on it yet. imgP1080584.jpg another view, all work was done by me, and believe me I am not a gunsmith by any means.imgP1080576.jpg I used oxphoblue on the stuff that lost bluing, it does a pretty “ok” job, but there is no mistaking it for factory bluing, it is a cold process. imgP1080577.jpg

Next up, my Bulgarian ak 47, pretty much stock with aftermarket furniture-the original wood is still new looking-just wack. My old boonie and a cheapo machete. Most of those mags were Korean bare metal ones I scored at knob creek this year(10 bucks a piece) that I scuffed and painted. imgP1080590.jpg

This is pretty cool. If you are willing to do a longer write up of all the work you did and where you got or how you made the parts I would be interested. I am sure other folks would be also.

I don’t want to hijack this thread, so perhaps I will start another one, thank you. This is another mauser, it is a yugo 48 action with a .308 barrel(the barrel is just screwed in for now, a gunsmith I recently just found will set head space soon). after the action is properly barreled, it will get scrubbed, cleaned, degreased, and then a coat of guncoat or similar product. I may upgrade the trigger, maybe not. It is in a Hogue over-molded stock that is HEAVY but super comfortable. If you look it up, hogue does NOT make a m48 mauser heavy barrel stock(although I wish that they did) so I used a 70 or 700 action(I can’t remember at the moment) and did some inletting right at the point where the barrel meets the action, and some considerable more inletting in the hard plastic and metal area that the floor plate and action are set in. That barrel is a heavy barrel too, This gun is not something you would want to hump all day up hills and through valleys.(more props for those studs that have humped barrets and 60’s in the korengal valley). imgP1080558.jpg
another shot of the whole rifle, I need to weigh it with the bipod on scope and scope mount just to see how much it weighs. img

This ugly little joker is my chineese norinko sks. It has a cheapish dragunov knock off styled stock. Scope, and bipod. The bipod attaches to the old bayonet lugs. It isn’t a great shooter, but probably at least equal to or better than my ak.
    imgP1080569.jpg
Another shot, this knife is a gerber mk 11. a great knife, in an after market sheath(I still have the original too). Great for combat, poor for utility, if I were buying knives now, I would probably NOT go for a double edged long knife-but live and learn.

Yet, one more russian. It is a 44 mosin nagant. I did the drill and tap bent bolt kit-honestly if you are thinking about doing it-it is no better than doing a bolt bend yourself as long as you are careful and do a proper heat sink. I have a pretty healthy respect for Jeff Cooper, and am seriously rethinking this scope mount for a scout style mount, and again there are cheaper and more expensive forward scope mounts-I’m not planning on being cheap with that.

As you can see, it still has the military spike bayonet. It will probably come off some time, unless REAL zombies show up(haha). The knife in the first pic is a little winchester knife, it actually holds a pretty good edge and has a nice drop point-it was a present and I didn’t have much faith in it, but so far it has not failed.

Hey, I know I came a little late to this game-but I’m feeling lonely here.
